Unit3 Spring Begins from March
【单元总目标】
本单元在第2单元学习了四季的情景及其相关活动的基础上,学习每个季节所含的月份,并能运用功能结构Which is your favorite season? Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter. Why? Because ... It is ... The trees ... The flowers ... The mountains ... I can ... There are four seasons in a year. Each season ... 在日常生活中灵活自如地谈论各自喜欢的季节及原因。本单元的难点是月份词汇及日期表达(对序数词的了解和学习)以及日期的缩写形式。
本单元的教学可分为4个课时。第一课时以Part A中Let’s learn部分的词汇教学为主,重点学习有关月份的词汇。难点是月份单词的拼读拼写及首字母大写的书写格式;第一课时在复习词汇的基础上重点学习Part B中Learn to say部分对日期的表达以及Part A 中Let’s talk部分的会话,既是对词汇的复习和巩固,也是对词汇运用的练习和拓展;第三课时以Part B中的Let’s learn more为主,学习陈述每个季节所属的月份;第四课时在有效拓展练习本单元的重点内容的基础上,进行综合复习,并完成检测。

【课时】第1课时
一、教学目标
1. 能听、说、读、写单词:January, February, June, July, August, September, October, November, December。
2. 复习巩固数字1-12,并学习与其对应的12个月份。
二、教学准备
1. 教师准备:
(1) 本课时涉及到的数字、月份、季节和节日的词汇卡片。
(2) Part B Let’s play部分的数字转盘以及一张年历。
(3) 本课时的课件。
(4) Let’s learn部分的教学音频。
2. 学生准备:Part B Let’s play部分的月份转盘。
三、教学方法建议
课程导入(Leading In)
(1)课前复习
1. 引导学生复习有关季节的词汇,并由季节引出相应的天气状况。课件出示以下句子,指定学生将其补充完整并朗读:
I like spring. The weather is_______. I can_______.
I like summer. The weather is_______. I can_______.
I like autumn. The weather is_______. I can_______.
I like winter. The weather is_______. I can_______.
2. Part A Warming-up: Read and answer
(1) 学生读本部分的三个问题,并圈出不认识的单词,教师进行讲解。如:问句中months 为month “月”的复数形式,并强调th的发音为[θ];which是特殊疑问词,意思是“哪一个、哪一些”。
(2) 学生四人一组讨论本部分的三个问题。
(3) 教师提问问题1和2,提醒学生用There be句型抢答。
(4) 教师继续提问问题3,鼓励学生借助第2单元所学的知识作答。
(2)新课导入
T: (出示数字卡片)Look! I have many number cards. Please say the numbers quickly!
Ss: One, Two, ...
T:(出示数字卡片12) What is it?
Ss: Twelve.
T: Good! This is twelve. And there are twelve months in a year. Do you know the names of the months? Today we’ll lea rn them.
课程展示活动和过程的设计建议(presentation)
(1)新课展示Part A Let’s learn
1. 教授单词December, January和February
(1) 教师承接新课导入部分,出示春天的图片,提问学生:
T. Look! What season is it?
四季教案Ss: It’s spring.
T: Which months are in spring?
Ss: March, April and May.
教师将这三个月份单词板书在黑板上数词three, four, five的旁边。
(2) 教师接下来出示冬天的图片,继续提问:
T: Look! What season is it?
Ss: It’s winter.
T: Yes. You’re right. Which months are in winter? Do you know?
Ss:(如果学生不会,允许学生用中文进行回答)12月,1月和2月。
T:(教师出示圣诞节的图片)Yes. Look! Christmas Day is coming. Do you know which month it is in?
Ss: 12月.
T: Yes. It’s in December. Christmas Day is in December.
教师板书单词,并带领学生按音节拼读De-cem-ber,教师领读并纠正错误的重音(第二个音节应重读)。
(3) T:(教师出示元旦的图片)New Year’s Day is coming, Do you know which month it is in?
Ss: l月.
T: Yes. It’s in January. New Year’s Day is in January.
教师板书,引导学生按音节拼读Ja-nua-ry,教师领读并纠正读音。
(4) T:(教师出示春节的图片)Then comes the Chinese New Year. Do you know which month it is in?
Ss: January or 2月.
T: Yes. It’s in January o r February. Sometimes, the Chinese New Year is in January. Sometimes it is in February.
