摘要:PURPOSE:To provide a titled cast iron having excellent processability and castability by composing the same of a specific compsn. of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr and Fe and making the contents of Mn and Cr among the component compsn. higher than in an ordinary austenitic spheroidal graphite cast iron. CONSTITUTION:A titled cast iron is an austenitic spheroidal graphite cast iron which consists of 2.0-3.5wt% C, 1.5-3.0% Si, 2.0-7.0% Mn, 15.0-25.0% Ni, 3.0-7.0% Cr, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities, and which has high resistance to corrosion and wear and has excellent processability and castability. Said cast iron has the excellent performance as a material for a pump handling a light slurry, etc. The C among the above-mentioned components improves hardness, the Si improves castability besides it acts as an oxidation suppressing agent. The M improves mechanical properties, the Ni maintains the base texture of the cast iron at austenite and improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical property, and Cr has the effect of crystallizing cementite in the base texture of the cast iron and improves the mechanical property and wear resistance.
