1.整体设计思路
遵循“问题导学,互动探究”教学理念,以学生为主体,以“pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading”过程进行教学,以具体的任务作为学生学习的动力,以完成任务的过程作为学生学习的过程,让学生在练中学,学中用。关注学生的生活实际和生活体验,贴近学生生活实际,树立以学生为本的思想,提倡学生参与、体验、亲身实践、合作探究,从而实现 教学方式和学习方式的转变。
2.教材分析
1.本单元主要围绕 telling a story 这一主题展开各种教学活动,本课时旨在创造一个轻松、愉快、真实的学习、交流环境,通过习得阅读方法和语言输出做海报的活动来培养学生综合运用语言的能力。
2.教材:warming-up 设置三个问题 1. Who are they? 2. In which book are they the main characters?3. Which character do you like best?及图片引出文章 3a,通过问题①Which book is talked about?②Who is the main character?③What is he like?激发学生阅读动机, 循序渐进设计任务3b及3c,培养学生阅读方法。
3.教材 Section A3a-3c 中出现的难点(1)学生能熟读课文并能正确熟练的掌握短语.(2)、 阅读短文,获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习,来提高阅读能力。我设计了 pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading环节帮助学生理解文章大意,帮助学生能正确完成相应的阅读练习。
3学情分析
1、八年级的学生已经有了一定的语言基础,会使用简单句型造句,本单元要求学生学会讲故事,通过学习本节课重点短语,学生进行语言输出。
2、学生思维活跃,善于和同学合作交流,乐于表达自己,渴望得到同学和教师的肯定。
3、学生对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣,八年级的学生喜欢在“玩中学”。通过营造语言 环境使学生学得一些东西,并最终达到习得的效果。
4.教学目标分析
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 学习掌握下列词汇:object, magic, stick, hide, tail, turn…into, excite, western 
2)阅读短文,能按要求到相应的信息。
3)通过阅读提高学生们的阅读能力。
4) 了解《西游记》中美猴王这一人物的大体情况。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
  多阅读中国传统文学名著,让学生们明白中国传统文化的博大、精深,并吸取中国传统文化中的精华。 
5.教学重点、难点分析
1. 教学重点:
  1) 掌握本部分出现的生词和词组,达到熟练运用的目标。
  2) 阅读短文,获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习,来提高阅读能力。
2. 教学难点: 
  1)  阅读短文,获得相关的信息的能力。
  2)  理解并运用所学的词汇及表达方式。
6.教学用具
 1、多媒体课件的使用,扩大学生的知识面,创设必要的语言环境,加速感知和理解事物的过程。
2、黑板、粉笔,板书弥补多媒体教学的不足。
